“It’s amazing, I love it, have never seen anything like it” – N.
Thank you!!!!!
The amazing level of communication & resulting personalisation of my order
made it an absolute pleasure to work with Marthe.
She is a very talented artist who went above & beyond
to ensure that my piece arrived on time & looked exactly as promised, if not better.
I highly recommend this artist to anyone wanting a very personal service.
Marthe did a fantastic job accommodating my numerous requests for customisation and delivered a stellar papercut. She was prompt, responsive, friendly,
and kept me fully informed during her process.
The papercut was amazing! Thanks Marthe.

Wedding Commissions

Weddings are often a great event to show your personalities in an elegant way. This already starts with the invitations, and goes on all the way to the memory of that special day afterwards.
A handcut papercut works brilliantly for such occasions as it’s totally unique, due to it’s handcut nature and as it looks very refined in an almost straightforward way.

What is possible?

The sky is the limit here. Possibilties to use a handcut papercut range from excuisite invitations, thank-you notes etc. , a unique gift for the newly-weds (or their paper wedding anniversary!), to an amazing handcut backdrop for pictures.

How does it work?

First of all we discuss thoroughly all of your wishes and whether you already have ideas for the piece. For this part of the process I allow as much time as we need, to be sure we fully understand each other.
Subsequently I create a design with your wishes and ideas in mind. Of course this design will be send to you for your approval and to check if I’ve incorporated all the previously discussed elements. Usually the design is approved at the first round, since we discussed everything beforehand, but of course it’s always possible to change small things! I need you to be 100% satisfied with the design before I start cutting.
After your approval I start the meticulous process of cutting your custom piece and this needs to be done with a lot of attention and care since every little slip of the knife means the piece is ruined. But this cutting makes the piece “come to live” and get “it’s soul” to speak in the words of my customers. ;)
Once it’s finished I’ll make sure the piece arrives to you as soon as possible in great condition. If you prefer I can send you a picture of the finished papercut before shipping.

In case you would like to use the papercut for invitions and other prints,
I can help you with making a ready-to-print file or even arrange for the cards to be printed as well. That will save you a lot of stress in the chaos of organizing a wedding.

Everything will be talked through beforehand and executed exactly according to your personal preferences.

Lead time

Creating a handcut paper art piece usually takes 1 to 2 months.
But in case you need a papercut to be made last-minute , don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss the options (a rush fee might be added).

If you would like me to make a ready-to-print file for cards for example or have me arrange the printing, please let me know while discussing your ideas. This obviously will take some extra time on top of the average 1 to 2 months.

Prices for a handcut papercut depend on the chosen size and intricacy.
For example, for a backdrop the level of detail will go down, but the size will go up.
For prints, I recommend to have the papercut made 1,5 / 2 times larger than the eventual cards, to create a nice level of detail.
Average prices for the papercuts can be found HERE. But please just contact me to receive a customised quote.

For making the papercut into a ready-to-print file I charge €75.
Potential printing costs will be calculated based on your wishes regarding paper type and number of cards.
